Being an unexpirienced cook, I always look for the recipies labeled "easy"... and sometimes I don't expect them to be "Great." However, this Corn and Crab Chowder was quick, easy and a crowd pleaser!! It tasted just like my favorite chowder from a really espensive seafood resturant! I highly reccommend it!

This is excellent chowder!!! I cooked it a bit longer as it took a little time to get the potatoes completely cooked. Well worth the wait.

I served crab legs at a dinner party and had leftovers. I was searching for an easy recipe that would taste good and didn't require a trip to the store. This recipe allowed me to feed my family of four and I have enough leftover for lunch for two tomorrow. Excellent dish- my daughter loved it and she doesn't care for crab at all. Yumm- Yumm! FYI- my husband gets heartburn so I substitued 2 carrots instead of the bell pepper. Try this one it will be a big hit.

Loved this simple and delicious recipe! I follwed exactly and it was a hit. Next time i think I will add some pepper bacon for a little smokey kicked up flavor. Thanks, Rach!

I made this tonight, and while it was good, it was not wonderful. Not as much flavor as I expected. I could only get canned crab at the store, so that may have been part of the problem. But my husband and I both l felt we could have left out the crab and it would not have changed the taste that much. That said, it would be a nice corn chowder. Or perhaps to use shrimp.

I couldnt find and easy chowder recipe, so I of course looked to Rachel and thought this one would serve me well, and It did! The shrimp instead of corn made it yummo! And I used "what I had in the fridge" for the milk..just used heavy cream with 2%milk and It came out perfect!! Thank you Rach!

Even my daughter who doesn't like soup loves this one. We made one small change because of shell fish allergy. We dropped the Old Bay seasoning, diced up chicken breast and sauted it with the veggies. In a pinch, we found that canned chicken put in at the same time as the corn works great. Yummy!

This soup tasted so great even with some minor adjustments I had to make to meet my husband's kidney-friendly diet. (non-dairy creamer instead of milk, no old bay seasoning, only reduced sodium chicken broth, etc. This is the first good tasting soup that he has been able to enjoy since his diagnosis with kidney disease...THANKS RACHAEL!
