For a fast meal, this came out really well. Next time, I will skip the bacon. I'm not a health nut, but I tasted this without the bacon, and it was still great. I added some chopped scallions into the dish while cooking. Also, I did not put in the full pound of spaghetti--only about 3/4 of it. I will DEFINITELY make again!

Love this recipe. I have made it a few times. The last time I made it I drained the tomatoes to make it less runny. I also added bbq sauce which added great flavor!

This dish is fantastic!!I added a half red and yellow pepper each-chopped and a jar of mushrooms, also closer to a pound and a half of sirloin. Next time (per my 8-year-old's request I will be adding more bacon. All the flavors came together just beautifully. Next time I will start the sauce early in the day on a weekend so it can simmer in a crockpot for a few hours. Also, I served extra Hot Sauce on the table so everyone could customize to their own spicy preference. Thank you Rachael for a fabulous, easy meal!

I've been making this recipe for 5 years - definitely a 30 minute meal, and a family favorite. I make it exactly as written - the only thing I leave out is scallions, if I don't have them. I usually do cook more bacon, though - about 6-8 slices - so we'll have enough topping for the leftovers. Love it!

Delicious! Added more bacon. Didn't like the scallions on top. Next time I make it, I'll cook the scallions with the onions, garlic, etc. Otherwise, it rocked!

My family loves this meal! I've been making it for about 3 years now, and the only thing I leave out is the beer. The cookbook I have w/this recipe doesn't include it, and I find it changes the flavor enough that the kids don't care for it. It's wonderful, and this is our go-to meal on a busy night!

This became an instant hit in our family. Hand to change it up a bit since we have one that doesn't eat beef or pork. Used ground turkey to replace the beef and Baco's instead of bacon. Usually double the recipe because of the size of our family and play with the seasoning a little and it's a hit every time!
