These sammys are quick, easy and delicious! They are a great way to dress up a ham and cheese sandwich. There seemed to be a little too much sauce for 4 servings, however. I think you could easily have enough sauce to make 6.

A very delwcious cheese melt on buttered bread. Very mouth watering and easy to prepare. Try it you'll love it.

I love Rachel, and have made many of her recipes. This one sure was a great way to jazz up the usual ham sammie.

But, I calculated the nutritional value online and believe it or not, this has at least 966 CALORIES and 70 GRAMS OF FAT per sandwich!!

Good Lord, Rach are you trying to make all of America even fatter? My advice: skip it and make yourself a sandwich with lite bread, lowfat cheese, low salt ham, some mustard and maybe lettuce.

Good! The bechamel makes WAY too much for the sandwiches...and actually this seems to happen alot with FN's recipes. I dont like to waste food!

Had a big smoked ham for dinner the other night and tried this with the leftovers and rye bread. We loved it-all the flavors meld and the sandwich is almost creamy! Unless I did something wrong, the bechamel sauce took longer than 10 min though. Will make again and again!!
