This was a great recipe... not for the calorie/cholesterol conscience, but delicious nonetheless. I cut the recipe in half, and it was more than enough for three people. Very easy to do. Paired it with a mixed greens with cranberries and a baslamic/olive oil dressing, and it was a tasty meal all around.

Well I changed the recipe a bit. I had some leftover garlic oil pasta so I used that, I also sauteed some cubed ham before I added the cream instead of doing the ham steaks. The garlic pasta made all the difference in flavor. Since I was chagning things up I used gruyere cheese since that is my favorite cheese with ham! Thanks for a great idea and cleaning out some of my leftovers!!

I fixed this and I could not find the egg fettucini noodles in the store so I just used regular egg noodles. It came out kind of dry but had a good taste to it with the nutmeg. I had fun using my new microplane for the nutmeg.

Easy to make, and really beautiful to serve, but we found that it was lacking something. I'm keeping this recipe in my online recipe box to try with perhaps some added peppers, sausage...?
If anyone else has added something to this recipe that gave it a bit more punch, I'd sure like to read that review.
I also found the dish to be a bit on the dry side. Wondering if there's a sauce that could also be served with this as well.

I was very disappointed ~ hopefully I just did something wrong. I love her recipes but this one was VERY VERY VERY bland :( If you MUST make it, I strongly suggest adding sauteed onion, garlic, red pepper, and herbs... something...anything to give it flavor :( I went CRAZY trying to find the egg fettuccine and all for nothing :( I will say that the salad was yummy, though :

I made this for Easter brunch. It was a big hit. We all decided that next time I make it I should cut the pasta into smaller pieces to make serving and eating it easier.

It is an one of kind dish. I like the easy way it is to cook. It looks as though it will taste out of this world. Can't wait to cook it.

I made this dish for the first time a year ago from watching the show (without a written recipe and it came out great. It is unique and tastes great. It is a very rich treat.
