This was easy and very good. We did have trouble finding the cane syrup. I know this probably sounds funny, but we had people tell us they have been baking for 25 years and never heard of it. I made the dish with more Molassis because this was someone's suggestion.
Now that I figured out what we are looking for I'm going to make it again and I'm sure it will be even better! We found the Lyle's Gold Syrup and if you look at ingredients it is only Cane Sugar Syrup!

I really didn't expect this to be as good as it was - thought it would be good but...! More moist than I thought they would be without being mushy. Held together nicely in the hand! Loved having them individually sized. Even the kids were taking them off the serving platter and eating them! Next time I think I will try the mini muffin size!

I used a loaf of gingerbread instead of panettone, but otherwise followed Rachel's recipe exactly. It was AWESOME! And seriously easy to prepare. Since I was serving this with our Christmas morning brunch, ice cream and whipped cream didn't seem like appropriate toppings. Instead I drizzled a glaze of 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, 1 tablespoon 1/2 and 1/2 and 1 teaspoon vanilla over the individual bread puddings after removing them from the muffin pan. There was not a crumb left on the plates...the relatives will be asking for this dish again next Christmas!

This is sooooooooo good! I love panettone and love bread pudding and the two combined are as Rachel would say "Yummo!" Thanks for a great combination!

This dessert was great. Everybody enjoyed it. I used a different type of holiday bread and it worked just as good.
