This is real good and simple ingredients to make a tasty meal. ONE THING I DID that was a good ADD TONY CHACHERE'S SEASONING IT IS IN THE SPICE ISLE IN ANY GROCERY STORE. I LIKE THE CREOLE SEASONING WITH NO MSG.

This recipe is amazing - hard to believe that this much flavor can come together so quickly and easily. I have made this many times and each time I am so glad that I did. The only change that I make is to add garlic. You will not be disappointed!
Regarding the review below - to me this is not anything like chili, but that's my own taste.

This isn't jambalaya, it's a chili with some chicken, sausage and shrimp in it. Look at the spices. Jambalaya doesn't have cumin or chili powder in it. I wasn't paying enough attention when I started the recipe, and when I got to the spice list I just went along with it. My family's reaction was "Weird chili. Edible, but don't make it again."

This is the BOMB!!! Made this for the first time and I have to say we are loving it! Very simple to make and very hearty but not over bearing. Love Rachael Ray 30 minute meals for a busy family that loves to eat. This is a keeper for sure. Much love and Happy Holidays....Buon Natale from the Carnaggio's!

Rachael, I will always love you for this recipe. It's a staple now for pot lucks, dinners made for other families, post-game celebrations, winter evening meals, you name it. Absolutely everyone who eats it demands the recipe, and no one believes it's a 30-minute meal. You rock!

Simply amazing!!! A definite keeper in our house. My husband is a true jambalaya fan and said this particular version was hands down the best he had ever had. I added a bit of garlic (kinda a habit and upped the cayenne AND hot sauce just for that extra kick and wow, did I get rave reviews! I too, let the chicken, sausage and veggies simmer a bit longer as I wasn't in a huge rush. Then added some fresh shrimp right before serving and served with an ice cold IPA. Excellent dish. Awesome flavor. Thanks Rachael.

This is one of the easiest, tastiest jambalayas I have ever eaten! Yes, it seems that the prep work goes on forever but it's well worth the time once you start cooking. I look for the spiciest sausage and use chicken thighs (instead of breast meat both of which make this dish stand out! Good work, Rachael!
