i only had sausage on hand, but it still turned out excellent. very good flavors! i put the rice in with the rest of the stuff, instead of making it seperately. i think it makes the rice more flavorful that way. awesome, awesom, definitely give it try!

I didn't really prepare for this recipe, so I just used what I had. I didn't have any chicken or celery, but it still came out excellent! My whole family is in love with it! Plus, it is pretty quick. It might take you a little longer than 30 mins, but it's definitely worth it. My 5 year old daughter asked me for it every night since I made it last week. Thanks for making such a yummy, quick and family favorite recipe Rachael!

I made this recipe using hot italian sausage since I already had it in the freezer and it came out excellent. Quick, easy and delicious. I added the hot sauce in to my own dish at the end because of my 22 month son. So spice it up individually if their are family members in your household that dont like it spicy. Great recipe.

You would never know this is a 30 minute meal. It is wonderful. It is one of my go-to dishes. I like mine a little more spicy, so just pass the hot sauce at the table . Try it!

THE ONLY CHANGES I MADE TO THIS WONDERFUL AND TASTY DISH WAS TO ADD A CAN OF BLACK BEANS, GARBANZO BEANS AND A FEW CHIPOTLE PEPPERS IN ADOBO SAUCE, CHOPPED. MMMMMMM

My husband is obsessed with Cajun food and LOVES this. It is a lot of ingredients, but worth the effort! It helps to do all of the chopping up front, so everything's ready to go. I keep it mild and let him add extra spice to his bowl. It is even better the next day.

I made this a few times and it's always great. My brother in law is still talking about it and wants me to make him some this weekend. It is so easy that I don't mind at all. I love to feed people good food especially when they rave about it. Give this recipe a try you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely love this recipe. I prepared all of my items the night before the super bowl. My husband whom is a very picky eater loves the recipe. He loves it so much that he requested I make it for the superbow. One of the best recipes ever. I preferred brown rice.
