Nothing special; a lot of the salmon flavor went away after mincing/grinding it, too. Not bad for an idea on how to make kids eat their fish, though!

Ok so I just made this burger for me and my 7 year old son and he asked for another burger!!!! It was so good and so easy to make.I roughly followed the recipe. I used Chicken Montreal seasoning along with dried dill some salt and pepper, parsley and a little italian bread crumbs. I also excluded the poppy and sesame seeds. Well the overall idea was the same I guess. Anyways, I served it with a baked sweet potato and some maple dijon glazed carrots. I LOVED IT!!!!!! Best meal so far this week

I was searching for new recipes with fish when I saw Rachel make the Salmon Burger on her show last week! What a surprise for my husband and a new variety for cooking Salmon!!!!

My husband enjoyed the Kaiser Roll and the spread. When it seemed like there is a bit much of the seasonings as I prepared the recipe, I just added more Salmon. It will need a pinch of salt.

Awesome and healthy meal! I will definitely make this recipe again!

I have been trying to get more fish in us and cut back on the beef and this recipe was a big help..\I was a little hesitant to make this but it turned out great and was readily eaten.Still can't make anything of Rachels in 30 minutes though.

.... there is not much from RR that I have not enjoyed but this was totally disappointing !! The seasonings for the salmon were way off - and the potato salad that accompanied was way over the top - yuck - My husband and I threw the entire meal away -= what a dissapointment is an understatement. The only positive was the cream cheese sour cream green onion mixture - that was YUM-O.

Easy to make, tasted great. Too much dill and poppy seed in the recipe, but otherwise good. Wish it had some spice though...

As a huge seafood fan I was really looking forward to this. I spent $10 on fresh salmon, which made 3 good-sized burgers. The cream cheese dressing is good, but what the heck is the deal with the McCormick (no doubt a major sponsor Montreal Seasoning? If you like some spice chop up a fresh chilli pepper. I reduced the quantity of the seasoning and still tasted like someone had thrown half a bucket of salt into the mix whilst I wasn't looking.
I will certainly make it again, but without that ridiculous, unhealthy seasoning. Tip for BBQ'ers - add some plain breadcrumbs to help bind it together.

I love all things salmon so whenever I come across a new way to do it I always try it. Rachel Ray didn't disappoint on this one! I LOVED the flavor of the patty with the dill and sour cream sauce. I had a little extra dill so I added that to the sauce along with some pepper.
I didn't put the salmon in a food processor, instead I just chopped it into small pieces. It stayed together pretty well when I grilled it.
I thought the flavor was just right..not too spice heavy to cover up the salmon flavor. I used plain hamburger buns that I had in my freezer that I grilled for a few seconds to toast. (I used a grill-pan to cook the salmon
This recipe got my seafood-hating boyfriend to eat salmon! He askes for this a few times a month!

Instead of wasting fresh salmon filets on a burger, I used salmon meat pouches (you can find them in the canned fish section of your supermarket. This seemed to give the burgers a very nice texture. As far as the recipe being boring...that I can't back up, I found it a flavorful recipe! I DID add a little flare to the sauce: I used nonfat plain yogurt instead of sour cream, added 1 chopped dill pickle spear, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp onion powder. I also added salt and pepper to taste. I felt this added a lot of flavor to the sauce, and thus the burger overall. The burgers themselves are simply seasoned which I find very appealing, but you can always add lemon juice, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, more grill seasoning, etc if you need more flavor.
