Awsome! The best fudge recipe ever. I hate butterscotch, and I did taste it in my first batch. So, I used white chocolate chips. It tasted just like the fudge you'd buy from candy shops. Wonderful!

Made this last year.... fantastic!!! Just figured out why some of you complained it was soupy!!! Cuz I just did it by mistake! You bought evaporated milk, Not SWEETENED CONDENsED milk. Glad I have my receipt to exchange it and now have to clean up this soupy mess. So folks? If it's soupy? You bought the wrong can of milk!!!!! MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE SWEETENED CONDENSED milk

I've made this fudge for family for Christmas, but last year I made it for the people my husband works with. They requested it again this Christmas, in October!! They loved it, so I'm going to make a couple of batches.

Easy recipe, but not a lot of flavor. Try these modifications:
Add 2 tbs butter when melted chips. Use half peanut butter/half milk chocolate chips instead of the chips in the recipe. (Or all milk chocolate if you do not like peanut butter flavor. Use pecans instead of walnuts.
Decorations look better with candy. Try
using gelly leaves (found at CVS in candy aisle cut them down the center so you can use both halves.
using red m&ms for the berries
using string licorice for a bow at the top of the wreath
    green sugar sprinkles all over
Looks much more like a wreath! :

I used to always take the time to make "real" fudge. Now with this recipe I can make a delicious, versatile fudge that everyone loves! I made a double batch and put it in tins for the UPS guy, mail lady, the ladies at the Library, and the Speedy man, as a thank you for their service. My friends just love this as well! I ran out of vanilla in my third batch and used almond extract, and it gave it a new flavor! Still very good!! Thank you again Rachel! Oh, and it is very budget friendly!

Our son is stationed in Iraq and when asked what he wanted us to send us, the first and only thing he could think of was his "sister's" fudge. This is the fudge she made for him last year when he was stationed in Hawaii. So we are making several this year and sending to Iraq. One for his very own and some to share with his Company.
thank you Rachael for a great recipe!!!!

What is the substitution for using white chips. Is it a 12 oz bag plus 1 cup?
