I didn't make the chutney though I may make that seperately sometime. I think the sandwich suffered from the french toast process. I found the sandwich to be soggy, not something I like. However it was edible with nice flavors, I dipped mine in raspberry syrup. Next time I make a sandwich like this I will put it in a panini maker.

Skip the chutney but everyone thought the French Toast-wiches were the best ever! My kids wanted to 'special order' theirs without various ingredients but I made them try it per the recipe first and they quickly changed their mind and decided to have the original version!

I follow a low-fat diet and can get away w/ the small amount of cheese called for here. We've had this for dinner and for lunch and we always keep the ingredients for these sandwiches on hand. The sandwiches alone take much less than 30 minutes and if you have leftover potatoes, these are a wonderful quick, hot lunch. My picky husband even enjoyed them and asked for more -- a good sign.

We loved watching Rachael making it and found it incredibly easy to follow and it makes the best dinner, lunch, brunch or breakfast. You can't go wrong

this could also be a great brunch recipe. my family loved this - all the flavors go together perfectly. We loved the chutney so much, we made extra just for dipping apples in for breakfast and snacks. This is definitely a keeper recipe.

These came out great. I used thick sliced bread, and served w/french fries. I didn't make the chutney, and just ate these with syrup. Great idea for a quick dinner.

This recipe is out of this world. Easy to make, instructions are clear and the ingredients are simple. My child loved it and requested that I make these Toast-wiches at least once a week. Toasty, Tasty & Easy.

    Thank you.
