Very easy, I think it would be better after practicing some more. I think the cheese needs to be cut up smaller than what I did, these are kind of unwieldy. The sauce is alright, I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned. I'd make them again.

I made this recipe twice: Once for Thanksgiving and for a baby shower. Both times, everyone raved about these tasty bites! Who would have known, something so simple and easy would make people swoon. I did alter my recipe a bit since making two kinds of bites required more prep, I decided to stick to the plain mozzarella. I did add a little garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper to my bread crumbs and cheese mixture.. YUMMY!! One note: make sure oil is super hot- it only takes literally 15-30 seconds of cooking on each side. Use a completely round slotted spoon to help pick up bites. If oil is not super hot, bites will start to break apart and cheese will fall out. Awesome recipe!

I just made these tonight and they were fantastic. The only trouble I had is if I let the oil get too hot - then they leaked and were browner than I like. But I learned my lesson, turned down the heat and the rest are gorgeously perfect.

I used canola oil instead of olive oil because I don't like to heat olive oil that much.

I made this with the little fresh mozzarella balls packed in water. I did dry them on paper towels. They turned out great. I made fresh breadcrumbs from some leftover ciabatta mixed with romano cheese and italian seasoning. I didn't have any trouble with seeping cheese. These were simple and wonderful. MK

I thought that these turned out ok, and i did have fun making them myself instead of buying them frozen from the store and throwing them in the oven.

Like other reviews, we noticed some problems with the bites staying together when we transferred them to a paper towel. It made quite a mess in the olive oil as well, and since we don't fry foods all that much, I'm not sure it was worth going through the trouble.

I give it 4 stars because it does deliver Mozzarella Bites in the end, and they do taste pretty good. I think anytime you're dealing with frying things in oil and trying to maintain temperatures and such can lead to inconsistent results. I may just stick to buying these frozen from the store and cooking them in my oven. Olive oil is expensive to use it to just fry up some mozzarella.

One of the few RR recipes I don't like. The flavor was ok, but the bites didn't stay together at all. The cheese completely oozed into the pan. It was gross.

This was my first attempt ever at making fried mozzarella bites / sticks / whatever you want to call them. They came out perfectly! Nothing oozed out into the pan, they kept great until it was time to eat them. (I pre-warmed my oven to 190 then shut it off - keeping the cheese bites nice and warm without melting them anymore Thanks for a great, easy recipe! I definitely will make these again!

So easy to make and turned out great. Very crisp on the outside and nicely melted inside. Delicious!

Like many of the reviewers, I had a problem keeping the mozzarella to hold together. It was a cheesey mess. When I tried to drain the bites on a paper towel, the cheese just stuck to the paper towel. They were very good...but who wants to serve squished and misshapen cheese to their guests?
