This was a wonderful recipe. It was a great base to start with. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and used cream cheese. I omitted the lemon zest, but added green onions to the cream mixture. I had made Giada's rosemary thyme polenta a few days earlier, and saved the left overs in a bread pan, then cut it up in strips, much cheaper than already prepared polenta sold in the store. Thank you so much Giada for a great recipe.

I made this with the cod recipe from the same episode. We loved it! I couldn't get enough mascarpone so I added ricotta to wha tI had and it was very tasty.

Very tasty and savvy. I substituted the marscapone for cream cheese, what a hit!

I have made this recipe several times now. I've made it with regular Creme Cheese as well as Marscarpone. They were both fantastic, although the Mascarpone cheese is even creamier and fluffier. I rarely follow up and rate the meals I cook from the "Network Stars", but this one is really worth telling people about. It's dreamy! Cost-saving Tip: I got my olives and roasted peppers at the olive bar at my local supermarket, so I didn't have to buy numerous jars of stuff.

Having made RR's fried polenta discs with mascarpone cheese many times, I finally have it down to a "science"---at my local produce market (I'm sure RR would approve, I can buy the olive, roasted red pepper, parsley mixture in a tub---easy. I do agree with Kathy that the amount of mascarpone cheese is excessive---cut it in half but do add the same amount of capers, lemon peel, less half & half. I do think this is a wonderful and colorful side dish, whether made with the cod recipe (which I also likeor any simple fish or chicken recipe. If you like polenta this is an easy, impressive side dish. Of course I understand there are different tastes, but those who gave this recipe thumbs down maybe don't know how to tweek a recipe! Love to RR---she is great!

I like polenta and have made it many different ways. But, I didn't care for it this way. I think the mascarpone cheese with this was dreadful.

Well, after making the cod dish and this one, my husband now wants to ban me from watching RayRay! These 2 were just complete misses!

I usually like Rachael's recipes, and I like polenta. This was just not a good way to make it, I'm afraid!

Instead of polenta, I used left over 'gourmet' grits and it was delicious.

It was such a hit that I was asked to serve it at the next dinner
