I made this last evening with a roasted chicken. We all loved it, but will try it again with using only one package of spinach, to make the potatoes stand out more.
With the left over mixture, I'm going to make spinach/potato cakes and perhaps use some for breakfast with an omlette. I think this recipe is a very good one for creating more than one dish.
Its a keeper for us.

I really liked the flavor of these. I used 1 box of spinich per other reviews. I can't imagine them with 2 boxes. I used 6 cloves of garlic too. I had to add a little milk at the end of mashing as they were a little dry. Very tasty and a good way to get your iron.

I made these potatoes with a little less garlic and a little less spinach - and a handful of parmigian cheese. It went awsome with the stuffed meatballs and I agree - the tomatoe cream sauce is awsome over the potatoes.

Just made the garlic mashed potatoes and loved it. I only used one box of spinach and a little extra butter and it was perfect. My 3 year old daughter had seconds she loved it too. This recipe is a must have and looking forward to making again

i loved mixing in spinach with the potatoes, but i only used one box frozen spinach per the previous reviews. it was very very good. used some chicken stock to moisten the potatoes while mashing, since the spinach had absorbed most of teh liquid and the potatoes were a little dry. other than that, perfect!

My grandmother used to mix spinach with mashed potatoes when I was a kid and I loved it then and love this more grown-up version as well. yum!

I made these last night along with the meatballs and all was terrific. We enjoy spicach but I have never put it in with mashed potaotes before. After reading the reviews I only used one box of spicach and it turned out great. I don't think we would have liked it had I used two boxes. The garlic lovers we are I used a couple more cloves and it was delicious. Enjoy!

I really enjoyed this recipie. The consistency was a lot different than plain mashed potatoes. Next time I will use only 1 box of spinach, only due to personal preference. The spinach was delicious with the garlic and potatoes. I made this with the gorgonzola meatballs with tomato gravy from the same episode of RR 30MM. The garlic mashed tasted awesome with a little of the tomato gravy from the meatball recipe. Highly recommended.

Instead of potatoes, I steam cauliflower then blend in the food processor add the cream, butter, garlic, nutmeg, salt & pepper.
My family thinks they are eating mashed potatoes. Today I added the spinach (fresh instead of frozen and let it wilt into the mashed cauliflower while heating over the stove. I also added a handful of parmesian cheese (I thought she did this on the show, but it's not in the receipe. It was VERY yummy.
Hubby said the "potatoes" were awesome - definately a do over.
He won't even let a cauliflower floret touch his plate, he hates cauliflower :-

I made these with the stuffed meatballs and sauce. I only used one box of spinach instead of two, but I thought they were really good! I probably used "too much" butter (if there is such a thing, but with the garlic and spinach, the potatoes really had a wonderfully yummy, comforting texture and taste. I would make these again!
