made the meatballs the night before and cooked it last night.
good weeknight meal, served with rigatoni and the sauce was nice. word of advice, cut down on the sage by half or a third.

    This recipe was delicious!

I served it with mashed potatoes and a quick steamed veggie mix. easy, tasty and quick on a week night. I used 2 tsp of dried sage since I didn't have fresh, 2 dried bay leaves because I didn't have fresh, no parmesiano regiano, just grated and flaked parmesean, pork because I didn't see veal at the store ....and it was just grrrrreat!!

Left overs (sauce & meatball made a great meatball pizza!.

The only thing I'd do differently is spray the pan I put the meatballs on to bake...they sort of stuck to the pan.

These looked great on TV and decided to try them. I followed the recipe exactly, no substitutions, and found the end result to be awful. The sage flavor overpowered everything and the cheese just made it extremely salty (didn't add much of my own salt since I'm not a big fan of it. The sauce didn't seem to have much flavor, but the sage and salt was really all I could taste. Over all the recipe was a big disappointment and a waste of money.

Since I absolutely LOVE gorgonzola I knew I had to try this when I saw it on Rachael's show. My husband and I are taking a break from beef, so I used ground pork and chicken. I also found I had to use a bit more bread crumbs because the mixture was super sticky. I took the advice of other reviewers and only used half the gorgonzola. I would have been okay with adding more, but I don't think it would have fit inside the meatballs! I cooked the dish an extra 5 minutes since I was working with chicken. I skipped making the gravy since my husband doesn't care for gravy, but it sure sounded good. We ate this along with the spinach mashed potatoes and had plenty left over for lunches. This one's a keeper!

I made this last night for dinner and thought it was a wonderful, satisfying meal. I think when I make it again I will widen the hole in the meatball to get in even more gorgonzola. The potatoes were also delicious and very easy to make....would have been easier if I had read both recipes first so I could have chopped once and used twice...the garlic.

Delicious! I used about a teaspoon of dried sage instead of fresh, and dried bay leaves in the gravy. Both turned out excellent! The meatballs took longer than 20 minutes to cook though...more like 30.

I am always looking for fun and new ideas for friends and family. This one was a big hit. I am also looking for ways to eat healthier so I substituted the beef with ground Buffalo. Turned out great, and I also made half with Goat Cheese instead of the Gorgonzola, big hit with the family. The only problem was the meatball where big and everyone wanted to try each type of cheese. Next time I will make the meatballs smaller so everyone can try them with different cheeses. Just think of all the different possibilities.

I tried these meatballs because it sounded like a fun type of dinner. I used a nice blue cheese for half of the meatballs and the other half I used a robusto gouda YUM. The sauce was fabulous and worth making extra for pasta. I thought when it called for sage that was wierd but it turned out wonderful. Rave reviews from my family. It's a keeper!

The meatballs are super easy to put together and they taste great!! I am not a fan of sage, so I used fresh basil instead. Very good alternative. Such a great meal.

This was a nice quick meal to make. I used all the ingredients except the fresh bay leaf. I used dried. I will try fresh next time to see if it kicks it up a little more. I used sweet onions and the sauce was very tasty. I used half gorgonzola on 4 of the meatballs and mozarella on the other 4. I thought the mozarella ones were bland but my 8 year old liked them. I would make again.
