Crunchy well toasted with rich nutty flavors. Easily chewed but fun and satisfying to eat with milk.

I love this recipe but when I'm too lazy to make granola I like to buy granola at
www.thcrazybaker.com. Still is better than any recipe I've found and I've tried a lot. All natural too.. Good for the weekdays when there is no time to make your own!

I made granola for the first time using this recipe, and it turned out really good! The thing I learned about the first batch though, was if you're going to use a DARK PAN, then use a lower temperature and less time. About 300 degrees should be good. I added the nuts and coconut about 25-30 min into it and then with 10 min left I added the fruits. I also stirred it about every 7-10 min. With the second half of the batch I used a lighter colored baking pan and the granola didn't get so brown, which was a good thing! All in all, a great basic recipe, but keep an eye on temp and time.

The cook time shown in this recipe was too long or the temperature is too high. Good ingredients, just watch your cooking time and heat.

I think this is the best granola...much better than you can buy pre-made. My only suggestion is to stir every 15 minutes. That way it browns evenly.

I made this twice . The first time the fruits came out too dry . The fruits are all ready dried so baking them made them too dried out . Very dried out ! So the second time I made it I put the dried fruits in after I cooked the oats . It turned out much better . And much tastier . Thank you !

I thought this recipe was pretty good I would have to agree with some of the other reviews to add the fruit late in the baking process depending on your oven i added mine 20 minutes before but It still came out too toasted and a little over baked I would also recommend and will do the next time adding all dried fruit after baking is done and add nuts 10 to 12 minutes as they tend to overbake, also put some corn syrup over it 12 minutes before done to get nice granola clumps.

If you have never made your own granola, you are in for a surprise. It is so much better than anything store-bought. Even the best store brand doesn't come close. The recipe is SO EASY. It is wonderful alone, or with yogurt or milk. I do agree with another reviewer who suggested adding the raisins and coconut in during the last 20 minutes. It makes a big difference and doesn't burn these delicate ingredients. YUMMY! Add what you like, leave out what you don't.

Wait until the baking is done to add the dried fruit. I omitted bran flakes because I didn't have any and added goji berries and dates instead.
