Cant' beleive what I am going to say but.. Completely disappointed! I love RR recipies, however with this one not sure what happend. I used fresh green beans instead, I beleive it was too much vinegar, or something. I end up literally trowing away the beans, boiling the rest of the beans that I had and putting a little bit of S&P on top. Not looking foward to do it again.

They were okay. I used fresh green beans and it was something different. It was fast and cheap, and pretty tasty. Not something I would make on a weekly basis but good to change things up a bit.

I made this dish for dinner tonight with some of our garden green beans that were in the freezer and I liked it. I added three strips of turkey bacon which gave it more flavor. For those of you who want more flavor in the sauce, try adding a teaspoon or two of cider vinegar. Or add a chopped apple with the onions. I sprinkled about a tablespoon of flour on the onions and stirred. This thickened up the apple cider when I put it in the pan and also gave it more flavor. I wouldn't hesitate to put it in a shallow casserole dish, top with some breadcrumbs, a dab of butter and heat it up as a green bean casserole.

I wish the sauce had a more concentrated flavor, but otherwise they were good.

I use this website for my meals constantly. This sounded like an interesting idea and I just wanted to warn people, it is interesting. My boyfriend and I both love to try new food combinations and are not picky at all and we had a few bites to see if we could like them but ended up tossing them. Bummer! It sounded like such a good idea! Just warning you all, not good.

We cooked a few slices of bacon, cooked the onion in a couple tablespoons of the left over bacon grease, then follow the rest of the directions accordingly. This makes a great dish...especially if start it the day before and let it sit in the refrig overnight...just don't forget to not cook the beans all of the way.

They were just ok. I was hoping for a stronger flavor from the sauce.

I like green beans, I like onion, I like apple cider. I'm just not a big fan of them all together. I tried making it with shallots. It all turned out just fine, but something about it didn't quite taste right. Edible, but I probably won't be making very often.

I liked the instructions with this recipe better than what I remembered her doing on TV. They were delicious despite my skeptical family's looks when I told them I was making a sauce for the green beans with cider!
