Delicious! My 2 and 4 year old will eat green beans now because of this recipe!

A really easy dish and a great alternative for green beans. I put my almonds in a mincer first
( because I only had a bag of whole almonds, not sliced which worked just fine. Lemon was a perfect complement to the beans - I even sauteed a few small rind slivers and added those to my sauce. A review below remarked that it was too lemony - I did not have that experience at all and I wonder if perhaps they used a whole lemon instead of the "1/2" called for in recipe. We thought this dish was very good. Thank you Rachel :

My family always cooked green beans "southern style" until they were mushy and had lost all their color. Wasn't sure about this one but the lemon really just kept the green bean tasting fresh and the almonds really were a great accent. Super quick and so simple, my husband made them! This is one we will make again and again!

I normally hate vegetables, but these were wonderful! I actually eat them as a meal they are so good. Definitely try them--add extra almonds.

Different and the almonds(I normally hate nuts tasted delicious but the lemon was almost a bit too much for my tastbuds...it saturated the whole dish which I am not used to with green beans.
