We ended up marinating the chicken overnight due to a change in dinner plans and the chicken was really tasty. We loved the slaw too. You don't need to make a sandwich of this. It stands alone
I picked this recipe because we had leftover cabbage and carrots from Guy Fieri's mu shu chicken. It's a good way to use the same ingredient in completely different ways.

I made this recipe for my girls and they loved it. They only thing I changed was the cabbage. We don't really care for cabbage, so I used broccoli slaw instead. Great. Will make it again.

I don't know if it was the marinade or my new George foreman grill but hubby said that was " the best chicken I ever had!" It was just enough to favor the chicken but not too sweet. We did not make the sandwich...the chicken was flavorful to stand alone. Keeper!

This was so delish! I didn't have honey so I used sugar instead, and I made a cilantro lime mayo for the bread instead of pico. This was so good. I was stuck in the "same dinner" rut. I think this got me out of it! My entire family loved these!

I had to change it a little to fit what I had on hand, like I used a lemon instead of a lime. You know its good when my picky four year old devours a sandwich with no complaints!

The chicken was so delicious! I did not make sandwiches, but used the chicken as the main part of my meal. I love the way the honey gave it some sweetness and cilantro is one of my favorites! I didn't have limes, so I used lemons and it still tasted wonderful. I topped the chicken with some homemade corn and black bean salsa. Yum-o!

I bought store bought salsa verde. I really liked the slaw. It was delicious. The honey worked well with both the slaw and the chicken sandwich. I thought the sandwich was full of flavor and was not spicy. I also served this recipe with tomatoes stuffed with spinach. I will probably not make this recipe again: I have tried several sandwich recipes on this website that have more flavor than this
