The grilled shrimp - AWESOME! But, what did I do wrong with the gazpacho. It was toxic! Way, way too strong.... maybe I added more cilantro than I thought...or garlic....

I used spicy turkey sausage instead of chorizo to make it low fat and healthier. This sauce takes a bit of time to do (many ingredients but it has a really unique and fresh taste. Just wondering if anyone knows if it will freeze well , or any other recipe idea for the sauce, as it makes alot for 1 dish.

I really can't believe all the negative reviews about this recipe! It is so tasty and so easy. I didn't make the gazpacho, but the skewers are great in the summertime for a BBQ or just a quick meal. They are super simple and great. I always bring these to cookouts and they are the first to go!

The shrimp is tasty and light, goes well with lemon zest and thyme rice. We've had this recipe several times using Spanish style chorizo and Mexican style chorizo. Both times it would have been better without as the chorizo added nothing to the taste and occasionally over-powered the lemon flavor on the shrimp. We also dont' bother with the gazpacho, it's a lot of work and ingredients and can overwhelm the other flavors.

Instead soack the shrimp as in the recipe and then toss in a frying pan or grill on skewers and serve with a tasty rice and roast broccolini.

This dish was delicious - I made it with shrimp only, no sausage. But 10 minutes prep time??? Maybe if you have 3 helpers in the kitchen, but doing it myself it was a good 30 minutes of organizing, rinsing, chopping, mixing, etc. But it was spicy and wonderful.

This was fine but not great. I agree the gazpacho was a lot of work. The chorizo I found had to have the casing removed so we couldn't use it. Subsituted Aidell's louisiana hot sausage and it worked great. Overall it was fine if you're having a tapas party with a lot of other stuff but there is better dishes out there.

I love shrimp, but the chorizo overpowered them and made them greasy in this dish. Then I found out that each 3 oz serving of chorizo has 31g of fat! NOT light or healthy. :(

I loved this dish. You can't go wrong with the shrimp/chorizo combination. I had made a tabouli salad (with quinoa the night before, so I served this instead of the gazpacho.

The chorizo I used was mild and we wante spicy, so I sprinkeld the loaded skewers with red pepper flakes (as for pizza, etc. The zest, parsley, and garlic garnish is perfecto mundo.
