Loved this recipe. Changed it up a little bit by adding 1/4 tsp of cayenne and 1/4 tsp of ground mixed spice. Also used ground toasted anise seeds and 2 tbsps of butter instead of three.
All personal preference changes - I'm sure they would be just as yummy made exactly to the recipe.

I found that these nuts were a littel bland. I added more spices; still a littel bland. Then I threw in some sugar. Improved the taste.

I found this recipe to be bland. There was just nothing to the taste. I thought this would be the perfect gift to give out for the holidays because I don't have a lot of money, but I ended up spending way more money then I would have if I had just bought people pre-made gifts! I tried to spruce it up with a little butter and brown sugar, and managed so salvage them a little, but ultimately came to the conclusion that NO ONE would eat them, so I tossed them. Next time I'll just by a can and give them away as gifts.

Excellent party snack and great to give as well they were a huge hit and my guests loved them. They loved them even more after they got their togo containers of nuts.
