This is a costly recipe, but it does delivers the taste you are looking for in a different meal.
The family and I loved it.

Just shopped for this recipe and it was about $100 and I already had most of the ingredients!! The toasted sesame oil was hard to find as well. I'm sure it tastes great based on the reviews... But the taste definitely does not modify the price of this meal. I don't think I will be making this recipe again. I matched this meal to a desert of blueberry cobbler.

This is one of my family's favorite "go to" meals! This is a kid friendly meal, and it tastes amazing! I do switch it up a bit though. I brown the chicken breasts with salt and pepper in a non-stick skillet. I then put the chicken breasts in a casserole dish and pour the warm honey teriyaki sauce over them and bake them in the oven. Once it is done, I sprinkle the green onion slices over the top. I also make a fried rice to go on the side without the sesame seeds. Either way, it is great!!

I cooked it for my family and they all loved it. Said it was better than what you could get in the resturant!

I have made the recipe as is & there isn't one thing that needed redoing unless you were looking to change things up a notch. If you reduce the sauce as she had instructed, you would have had it come out perfectly. Having said that...Now...if you want to switch things up a bit...I have tried this recipe with the following
change(s, I had roasted a head of garlic & once it was good & carmelized I squeezed half of the gooey bulbs into the sauce mixture and the other half I mixed into the rice BEFORE shaping it into balls. If you love garlic you may find that this kicks the recipe up a bit. No matter what... you absolutely cannot go wrong with one of Rachel's recipes as long as you adhere strictly to the instructions as they are printed for you. Make sure to read through them 2x BEFORE you begin to cook them, that way you will have partially committed them to memory & will be less likely to make a mistake.

I should have read all the reviews before I started. The sauce was too watery. But I do think it is worth another try. I will reduce the chicken broth and grate the ginger next time.

I only made the teriyaki sauce and thought it was too simple to be good but, my husband tried it and loved it. I have made it into a bigger batch and store in the fridge. Unlike the other comments adding soy sauce made it too salty and adding cornstarch will help thicken it up without having to let it simmer on the stove.

This was a great recipe.. I read the reviews and did some adjustment and it turned out great.
The changes i did was .. I made the chicken in the strips helps with faster cooking time. i cut the broth in half and i added 2 and a half teaspoons of cornstarch. i also added soy sauce and next time ill only use a tablespoon and a half.
    ALSO
for the people having the problem of the ginger being to strong cause you get that chunk in your mouth every once in a while..do what i did, i just cut the ginger in half and then when the sauce was done i took it out.

    Hope i helped out :D
