This recipe sounded appealing to me from the beginning, but I had concerns about my fussy husband and daughter. Not to worry! They absolutely loved it! I made 2 changes. The first was to substitute vegetable broth for the chicken. The second was to serve this with rice instead of the yogart/pita combination. A real winner!!

Maybe it would have been better if I actually had a food processor and didn't try to mash up the chick peas by hand. I added chicken to my leftovers and that was better. It kind of reminded me a mexican soup and I imagine it would be good with cheddar cheese.

This is fabulous. Rachael makes the greatest things and makes them so easy. I have made this about once a week for 3 months. It is great to take to lunch the next day. I save some of the garbanzo juice from the can to help the beans smooth out in the blender.

My family loved this soup. It was easy, satisfying and fast as a main dish with a hearty vegetable salad.

This is a really great comfort meal that doesn't take too long to make and you just might happen to have most of the ingredients collecting dust in your pantry, like I did. I did not have fire roasted tomatoes, which is funny because I frequently use them in my chili. Instead, I just used a jar of organic tomato and basil pasta sauce. I thought it turned out pretty good. I also did not have plain yogurt. I had the kind of yogurt most people have on hand which is the single serving, fruity kind, so I chose peach and that worked out well too. Next time, I will make sure to have the proper ingredients, but this dish still turned out DELISH!

I made this recipe on a whim after watching episode and not having any idea what to make for dinner. I had all the ingredients already, which made it super easy to get on the table fast.

The flavors blend very nicely in this dish. The leftovers were even better. Will make it again and again. GREAT recipe!!!

Wonderful soup, so easy and even better as leftovers. Don't know how anyone could call it bland unless some of the spices were left out. I did add some (very little pepper flakes for heat. Next time I will add some shrimp and maybe other veggies to make a full on stew.

It wierded me out a bit that this soup is the same consistency as my pasta sauce, but it had great flavor (even though I couldn't find the fire roasted tomatoes and substituted curry for cardamom. I think when I have the leftovers I'll mix it with some rice or orzo. Thanks Rach. Keep the great recipes coming!
