My first review on food network ever and I'm glad I saved it for this recipe. Chicken was moist and delicious, the barbecue sauce was perfect, not too sweet and a great consistency. This is definitely a keeper. The whole family loved it.

This recipe was really good and something different to do with chicken. But i made the mistake of puttig in all the chicken stock,so it took longer to cook, so dinner was a little late.I would make this again, but i thhink the slow cooker is a good idea thank you. Patti

This was wonderful! I used skinless boneless chicken breasts and cooked it in the crock pot on low for the afternoon as I wasn't going to be home until right at dinner time and have little hungry kids that won't wait! I pulled apart some of the chicken in the crock pot and then let it soak up the yummy sauce a bit before serving. Would be great the next day on a hoagie or even on pizza crust with some melted fontina! My husband loved this recipe and when cooked in the slow cooker, it falls apart and is packed with flavor. Great on a cold day!

I found this recipe browsing the foodtv website. I borrowed another reviewer's idea and used cider vinegar (sometimes I find balsamic to be too strong and instead of pancetta, I used turkey bacon. It added wonderful flavor and cut down on the fat! I aslo cooked the sauce longer to thicken it even more. I'm having the leftovers for lunch today, I can't wait!

I have made this twice since watching the show. The only thing I did different was after the sauce was ready I poured it over the chicken and then slow-cooked it for a good hour or so. The chicken just falls right off the bone. We had a huge BBQ at our home recently and in addition to BBQing tritip, I made this and slow-cooked it in my Nesco. My guests said it was the best chicken they had ever had and are calling me for the recipe!!

The sauce is fantastic. I've tried a number of balsamic chicken recipes and this one is clearly the best one yet. Not a fan of the polenta. Served the chicken over buttered rice. Entire family loved it

Saw this episode and had to make this meal right away. Quick, Easy and soooo good. I made it exactly like the recipie the first time, and made it again the week later this time I used Apple Cider Vinegar instead of the Balsamic and Thyme instead of the Rosemary and served it with rice. I know with these changes it is no longer italian barbeque chicken but it was also just as good! Both times I had leftover sauce which I froze for another use.

Very nice flavors, tuscan like. Do not need to add more oil to pan if using bacon. Needed peper to sauce. Was a very nice and light dish!
