Great pesto, and an interesting take on chicken and dumplings.

You know, it started out good, but the pesto ruined it and too many mushrooms. It wasn't super flavorful, more like a soup than the chicken and dumplings i'm used to. I think i also used too much parsley for my liking, and its hard to get past the bright green slop. It comes out more like a stew, a green stew that is....

Make sure you go to a store that you know has all the ingredients.Took me two stores to get what I needed. And it took me a hour to make it but I am not as awsome as Rachel Ray..It was truly worth it.I loved the gnocchi in butter and lemon zest. This dish is so much better then the old fashion chicken & dumpling I grew up eating for sure.

This was the best RR recipe I have used to date. I added a little white wine to the broth. Everyone loved it including my 16 year old cousin. My family has requested we eat this once a week! Big hit!!

I can't get over the fried gnochi. That was cool. I skipped the pine nuts because they are expensive. As soon as you add the pesto mixture, the flavor is off the charts. I will make this again.

I made this tonight for my family. Very tasty and satisfying. It came out more of a stew, Good use of Mushrooms. I used pre-made pesto sauce, and it turned out great. There was nothing bland about this dish, I used extra pepper to spice it up. Looking forward to having the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. My son who is 21 RAVED about this dish.

My family loves this, even my picky eaters. Great flavor and little to no leftovers. I even triple the recipe. I have been making this recipe ever since I saw it aired months ago. Even though this recipe for me takes longer than 30 mins. Mostly because nothing was predone, except the pesto. My family likes the easy recipe I have for making Gnoochi, they like it better than the stores. They enjoy helping me make them. They even like this better than the Chicken N dumplings my father-in-law makes that was his moms recipe that was passed down. Lets keep that part our secret.

I went to the local grocery store (kinda small and they didnt have any gnochi. I used tortellini. Obviously, it wasn't chicken and dumplings anymore... but it was still GREAT!

My husband doesn't like pesto and he loves this dish so much that he's making it for me today! I used store-bought pesto and stirred it in one spoonful at a time until I thought it was just right. I also used a little cornstarch/water mixture to thicken it up at the end, as it was still pretty soupy. I wouldn't exactly call it Chicken and Dumplings, but it is warm, comforting and yummy. That's really all anyone needs on a cold day.

While I do agree with many who wrote that this took longer than 30 minutes, most of her recipes do. I would be quicker if I rehearsed it several times too, but I loved this recipe and so did my family. I had guest the night I made it, and it was very impressive. The pesto is very easy - with little fat of regular pesto, loved the lemon in the gnocchi and will be making this again. I loved everything mixed together - gave the dish a very complex taste.
