I think it is a shame that a professional cook is wasting her time telling people how to microwave bacon. This should be a joke, not a real recipe.

Funny, I have friends that used this technique first thing in the morning. They called it, "Wakin Bacon". Granted this was in college and they would usually miss their first couple of classes, I think it is a great recipe.

I started making this last night at 11:58, but unfortunately I had to stop the microwave early, before it became "Early Morning Bacon". The bacon was soggy and uncooked...next time I will have to start earlier, and then I might have better luck. Otherwise, I found this fairly easy to follow...though I saw my life flash before my eyes when I accidentally overlapped two bacon slices. Oh boy, thank goodness for the "pause cooking" button. Thanks, Rachael.

    I overlapped the slices!!
    I OVERLAPPED THE SLICES!!!
A jar of marshmellow creme suddenly appeared and exploded all over the inside of my microwave.

This recipe was OK, but my girlfriend and I have such different tastes that we had to modify it slightly. See, she prefers late night sausage, while I am partial to delicious muffins late at night. So we made the bacon, threw it away, and used the grease to help put the sausage into the muffin and make a McMuffin that we could both enjoy. The sausage slid around the muffin a little too much with all that grease, but it just made things more entertaining in the end. 3/5, would try again.

Twice my review of this recipe has disappeared. Honestly, what is wrong with stating that you prefer sausage to bacon?

I prefer Late Night Sausage. There's nothing controversial about that, Food Network.
