Mmmmm!! Sounds yummy, Rachael! However, I don't think the recipe worked. My microwave is only 700 watts. I followed the detailed instructions and allotted cooking time but now all I am left with is a soggy mess. HELP! WHAT DO I DO NOW?!?!? Do I need more paper towels?? Please advise.

Does anyone know if this works with more or less than 8 slices of bacon or can you only do it with 8? Thanks in advance.

I love this recipe for - wait a minute... LATE NIGHT Bacon? But I made it in the morning! Aw crap, looks like I screwed up another Food Network recipe. I guess I'll throw out my microwave and start over. And this time I'll make it late at night. Thanks, Rach!

Now I'm in trouble. I laid the strips out NOT overlapping but in a pattern that may or may not of looked like the shape of a pentagram. After the 2 minute mark a bacon portal had opened. Bacon tentacles reached through the microwave grabbing my arms trying to pull me in to the realm of Baconelzebub.
I braced myself pulling against the savory bacon tentacles. Nothing on this planet, this realm could stop it. Or is there? Thinking on my feet I grabbed each tasty strip and began ripping apart and stuffing my mouth full of this... this bacon demon. As I was being pulled closer to the bacon portal I grabbed some english muffins to stack my cuttings into and to continue my feast.
Suddenly a strange greasy bacon howl came from the portal and the tentacles receded back in to whatever bacon goodness it came from. Then the microwave *Dinged* and there sat my perfectly cooked "Late Night Bacon".

Can this be served alongside Paula Deen's English Peas?

Found this recipe last night. After a few single malt scotches from a limited edition bottle of Jura, I thought "This totally rocks".

Ran to the corner bodega for a package of bacon and when I got home I realized I was completely out of paper towels. Crisis averted when I just put a roll of toilet paper on top of the package of bacon.

The bacon packaging had melted into a lovely thick béchamel like presentation with the toilet paper and the dish came out quite swimmingly with a nice glass of gewurztraminer.

Thank you Chef Ray for your vast culinary intellect.

Can someone help me simplify this very complex recipe? Clearly, Rachel is writing for her high-falutin' foodie fans, and not regular folks like you and me.

This recipe is outstanding. W-O-W... but, it would actually be nice if they posted a video, just in case I'm placing the bacon wrong. Mines were too toasty and looked all white-ish.
I buy the cheap brand of paper towel and I guess the final product wasn't as desired, so, come on Food Network, do a little demonstration...
Maybe I'm using the wrong Microwave? Is it me? Is it the bacon? Is it the cheap paper towel?

I'll be waiting for a response, I want my late night bacon purrrrfect.

Mmmm... Thank you Rachel Ray. I don't think I could have gotten past tonight without some of your fab late night style bacon. I had some trouble with getting it out of the package so maybe you should explain how to do that too.

Brilliant. I'm now waiting for the logical followups - microwave popcorn and cup 'o noodles. I'm hoping one day to become a skilled enough chef to handle Midnight Bowl of Captain Crunch. I can dream.....
