I have had some amazing clam and linguini in my time and this is not it. It was very bland to me and really need some cheese. Plus I didn't really taste the clams either but more the spice of the red pepper flakes.

Yum! This was a fabulous quick meal to prepare after work for my family. My 11 year old son can't get enough. I added a little more red pepper flakes for heat and I substituted some lemon pepper seasoning since I didn't have a lemon on hand.

This is the best linguine with white clam sauce. The sauce is so flavorful (using the clam juice, did not try the chicken broth. We usually order this in restaurants, but this is so much better!

The only thing is it requires more sauce for the noodles in the recipe, especially if you want to "mop up" as Rachel recommends. I usually make it with 1.5 lbs of linguine and double the sauce recipe (with only 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.

I made some modifications and used anchovie paste (rather than anchovies and I split half clam juice and half chicken broth. It was great.

Way too much watery juice, which took away from the clam flavor, did like the anchovies (which my husband won't eat, but never knew they were in there. Sorry Rachael, but not a keeper for us!

This is absolutly the best pasta dish I've ever had. It is absolutly wonderful....everything about it. Rachael girl you were right about the anchovies, they don't taste fishy when cooked.

Very simple, huge on flavor and I am a brand new fan of anchovies! Do not leave them out, even if you think you don't like them.
