Made this tonight. It was suprisingly fast to make. The sauce came out perfect even though I added maybe 3 cups of the poaching liquid, and extra mushrooms. Everyone was pleased with this dish......A lot let over too.Hubby is glad to take to work for lunch! Don't leave out the peas and pimentos. It gives it such great color.
I'll definitely make again.

This is a great recipe! I have never had this dish before but I'm glad I tried it. My family loved it! I omitted the wine and used only chicken broth. I also added a little heavy cream to the sauce. Another wonderful recipe from Rachel!

Rachel is one of my favorite tv chefs. She always brings on interesting recipes that are quick and easy to make and this chicken a la king was no exception. I didn't have all the ingredients on hand so I omitted the wine and instead of pimentos I used red bell peppers from our planter garden. The results were fantastic. Really made a huge portion so I froze half of it to bring back to life with some dumplings when the weather gets a bit nippy. Thanks Rachel for another winner.

This recipe has a lot of flavor and was really good on top of the biscuits. Makes great leftovers too!

everyone loved it but I thought it was not a thick enough sauce but it was gone in mins. My family laughs at me because these 30 min meals take me 2 hours HA... I will make this again for sure...excellent. I love this show and get up at 6am on weekends just to see if something is new.

I didn't have all the ingredients called for in the recipe (wine, pimentos, and peas but I gave it the old college try (I added celery in place of the peas. It was delicious anyway. I plan on making this recipe -step by step for a dear friend this weekend - she will love it. Thank you Rachel!!

Talk about a family pleaser!! This went over so well with my family it is now one of my "always make dishes". So quick and easy it is stick to your ribs type food. Wonderful!!! A must try for your family large or small!!!!
