    I left out the pimentos and wine in the recipe and it was still good. I didn't care for the peas...I thought it gave the dish a funny texture. Overall, a great dish that won't break the bank!

    My mom used to make this dish and it was and it was an all-day affair. She would cook the chicken in the pressure cooker. This was much easier and tasted just as good. I threw in a little heavy cream since I had some in the fridge.

    This was very good. I doubled the sauce because I was making it with 6 chicken legs and 4 breasts to feed 3 adults and 4 kids. I added a little Garlic Powder. I served this with corn pudding. I will definitely make this again!!

    I made this for dinner tonight because my husband had talked about eating Chicken a la King growing up. I had never eaten it before so I was rather surprised by the wonderful flavor the combination of wine/chicken broth/bay leaf gave the gravy. Very good recipe that I will definitely make again.

    I served this with pasta instead of biscuits, and the sauce was fantastic with it! My husband raved about it, and we'll be having it again very, very soon!

    I cook for two and made a double batch of this and froze the rest in batches for later meals. It was very good.
