It worked and everyone loved it! I made this dip for my husband's 40th & the JETS Wild Card playoff game against Indy and it must have been the luck from the dip that allowed the JETS to win in the final seconds of the game 17 to 16! The recipe was so easy to follow and everyone loved it--especially the spiciness (jalapeno I suspect. I used spicy fat free refried bean (instead of hot sauce, a jar of the green tomatillo salsa and our favorite local salsa (medium. I got so many compliments and several people asked for the recipe. It was a BIT HIT! I was a bit soupy but everyone loved it and scoops chips were perfect for it. Thanks Rachael!! Guess I’ll be making it next weekend too...to keep the luck going!

I have made this several times usually with her Texas Hold 'em sliders - a great duo especially with her homemade ketchup for the sliders - a real crowd pleaser and cannot be simpler to make.

I made this for a party and everyone went crazy over it...even my mother-in-law who is not a big fan of anything "Mexican". I read several of the reviews before making this and changed the recipe. Mine ended up being more of a 9 layer dip, because I added seasoned taco cheese and ground meat cooked with a southwest taco seasoning (any taco mix will do. I also used black olives instead of the Spanish olives. It is now a must have at every party!!

This was a big hit during our Super Bowl party. After reading the comments regarding "soupiness" I did drain my salsas which helped a bit (although still a bit runny. My guests did question "where is the cheese"?, but I didn't notice it missing. I would recommend adding more jalapeno or hot sauce to spice it up, but overall very good. The lime sour cream was also complimented!

I made this dip last year for my Superbowl party, and it was tasty, but very running. There was way to much liquid from the jarred salsa that I used. Maybe if you buy very thick salsa than this won't be a problem. My suggestion would be to put the salsa through a strainer, so that you don't end up with a soupy Seven Layer Dip!
