I made this for a party and no one ate it because they couldn't tell what it was . It looked terrible. It was very soupy. The flavors were great and it tasted delicious, but it just needed more substance between the layers. It fit perfect in a 9 x 13. If I made it again, I would add more meat and beans and cut down on the salsas.

I made this and it should not matter what size dish you use, use a spoon to put it on your plate and dig in from there...very tasty

I've not tried this recipe yet but I've made 7-layer dips before. I use a cookie sheet for this type of dip (cover it with wax paper first and I don't always use the entire content for each layer, I just put what will fit, or what will cover an entire layer on it. Use a full-size for crowds and a half-size or a brownie-size sheet for home. I saw the picture and I'm not sure if that looks appetizing or not. That much salsa will definitely water it down. I know that from eating tacos with salsa. I've never used a 2-CAN sour cream for my 7-layer dip; it was always one can. 2 cans of sour cream, 2 jars of salsa and 2 cans of beans is probably why you can't fit it all in. I would cut it in half or at least use two shallow dishes.

I didnt get to use exact ingredients for this recipe but we got the jist of what was in there and it was delish! You definitely do need a wider dish vs. deeper dish to be able to get the effect of all layers. It won't look very pretty but it definitely tasted awesome!!! LOVED it and will make this again and again!!!

this tastes good but it's a mess.... it looks nothing like layers. it's more like a bunch of chip dips mixed together. next time i'll just put the dips out by themselves. good idea but needs more substance in between layers!

This is THE BEST mexican layered dip I have ever made!! Be sure to use a deep dish!! I used a 9by 10 casserole dish and it was too shallow! But it was grerat tasting even though it did not look great!!Next time I will do better!

Like som of the others, I changed some of the layers. I didn't use two salsa'a and added meat and cheesee instead. But this was good, and easy to make, alsthough it took me much longer thant he ten minutes listed!
