I also exchanged a layer of cheese for a layer of salsa, but otherwise I have no complaints about this recipe. I imagine a layer of meat would add to the flavor, but when made with the Texas Hold'em burgers we honestly didn't notice. Everyone loved the dip and kept going back for more. I will definitely make it in a wider dish next time so that all the layers can easily be scooped up in each bite. Nice.

I did not use hot sauce in the refried beans, nor did I use jalapeno in the guac and the dip was plenty hot just by the salsas! Very tasty, though, and pleasantly easy. I've always found traditional 7-layer dips to be bland, but this one was fantastic. The olives on top were unexpected and cool. Husband really liked it, too. We noshed on it all day on Super Bowl Sunday.

WAY too much on the beans!! I agree with the other review to sub one of the beans with hamburger -- adds more flavor and texture. And I agree about using a shallow dish, not a deep bowl, otherwise your chips won't have a chance in hell. Not a fan of the salsas she used either. I subbed a cheese layer instead of the green salsa and it turned out much better and more colorful!

I had to change the recipe a little because my guests are meat eaters. I just substituted the green salsa with hamburger, but i used your hamburger recipe from the same episode. It was a winner. They ate so much of the dip for an appetizer, they hardly had any room for the main course.

I made this recipe for my family, and they loved it. It has a bit more kick than most layered dips, and some of the layers tend to mix. It is still very tasty, however.

I wasn't sure how good it was going to be because this recipe only had 3 star rating, but it turned out to be very delicious.

I love RR, but I have a 7 layer dip that is much tastier. The salsa's made it too soupie. The Texas Hold-Ums Mini Burgers were dilicious though.
