We have made this hundreds of times. We have made it an even lower calorie recipe by using only chicken broth and no milk as well as lower fat cheese. And add hot sauce and soy sauce as extra seasoning. Easy fool-proof recipe!

I love Rachael Ray and thought that this would be a great dish. It was ok but I think that if it were to contain a different cheese that melted more easily it would be better because the sauce was kind of grainy.

We have made this many times, so easy to make and you can change it up and try different things in it. Try it with polska kielbasa or a nice hot sausage, just cut them up and add them just as you would the chicken or use the chicken too . It makes enough for leftovers or feed all the relitives too. My mom liked it so well that she even makes it now too. Thanks Rachael for another great Recipe.

This was possibly the worst mac and cheese I've ever had. I usually like Rachael's recipes, but sometimes I think she's more concerned with how the food looks on TV. When I finished it, it looked like delicious mac and cheese, but tasted awful. It was very bland, the sauce was grainy, not at all smooth.
There are much better recipes for macaroni and cheese on this site. Use a different chef.

I followed the directions. I know how to make sauces and I usually make excellent mac and cheese. This was just awful. The sauce was grainy and bland, the whole wheat pasta's flavor did not blend well with the flavor. It even made the broccoli taste weird. The recipe does not render a nice, thick mac and cheese look. It's ugly and tastes bad. What's more, it makes such a massive amount that what could have been a couple of days of lunches was simply thrown in the trash. Such a waste. I usually give great reviews, too, but this was too disappointing to brush aside.

Great idea for a recipe, took exactly a half hour to cook (and that included defrosting the chicken. It was good, but I'm not sure I'd make it again.
The sauce, however, was a little grainy. And I _cannot_ recommend using whole wheat pasta, something about it doesn't taste right with this sauce.
