This is an excellent dish, will certainly make the recipe again!! The family loved it. Everybody gave it a 5. I think I will add a little more broccoli next time, just because I like plenty of vegetables.

This was a fantastic mac n cheese dish! It had a bit of bite to it, and was super cheesy. My husband and I both enjoyed it. Definitely only use 2 cups of milk though, and extra cheese if you want. It does make a LOT, so you will have lots of leftovers unless you half the recipe. Yum!

This is my FAVORITE Rachael Ray recipe by far!! This is comfort food taken to a new level! It's a little bit spicy - which I love - and you don't have to serve anything with it because it already has the protein and vegetable. I use a multi-grain rotini (corkscrew pasta that is rich in protein, fiber, and omega-3's and you would never know the difference from a regular pasta. This recipe also makes a huge amount which is always enough for two meals in my house since it's just me and my husband. I either refrigerate the leftovers and have them for dinner the next night or freeze them and have them the next week. This is a regular recipe in my house!!

My husband and I just LOVE this recipe. I make it pretty often, since it is not a really complicated dish to make, but a little more involved than a box of mac n cheese. It is so unbelievably GOOD! We love the little kick you get from the cayenne, and the creaminess of the cheese sauce. This is a great sit down meal for midweek!

Seems one of the most important steps is to bring the milk, roue, and stock back up to a full boil and reduce this mixture as it says to do prior to adding the cheese for a thicker sauce. If one doesn't care for a heavier English style cheese soup this one isn't for you.
I do however so I loved it! I did cut the pepper in half though.

I love this mac and cheese recipe! It's one of my favorites. The cayenne and paprika give this a great kick!

You do have to get the roux and white sauce right, or it will turn out runny like some reviewers mentioned. If that happens, stir some flour in with a bit of milk and add it to thicken the sauce. It may also work to add some extra cheese to balance out the runny sauce. I haven't tried that.

I was disappointed with the meal. It felt like something was missing. It looked great on TV but in your mouth no so much. Sorry Rachel. I can't say I enjoyed this one.

I watched Rachael make this recipe years ago and couldn't wait to make it the very next day. I loved that it had chicken and broccoli in it which is great for the kids. I really really it. I think I liked it more than the kids though. I don't think they liked the spicy taste and gritty texture. I loved the spicy kick and the overall taste. The only thing I didn't love WAS the gritty/graininess of the sauce. The cheddar just doesn't melt smooth and creamy like mac & cheese should be. I have yet to perfect it and play with different cheeses to make this a perfect mac & cheese. But other than texture, I think it's a good reipe.

This cheese sauce is just AWFUL! I wouldn't feed this to a starving homeless dog. Rachel, you really failed on this one. I am SOOO disappointed. What a waste of good cheese.

I like this recipe coz you get everything all in 1 dish - meat, veggies, pasta, dairy. Great for getting your kids to eat a bit of everything. Also you can make a big batch and it can last a couple of meals - great for busy Moms.
