wasn't this dish once called Ball Park Mac and Cheese? If not, it should have been. Very good church dinner choice ( no beer!. I get lots of "atta-boys".

Very easy....good and cheesy. It does need a little "something"....I used a heavy bock beer and probably wouldn't next time. I felt like all I could taste was beer and mustard (not a fan of mustard either. It makes a ton!! Great for a big family or prepare for leftovers.

WOW. Great and easy to make. Substituted a plain sausage for hot dogs (Hillshire brand and sprinkled some Old Bay seasoning on top before broiling (I'm from Baltimore, we put Old Bay seasoning on everything. Enjoyed as a pre-game dinner. Really delicious and filling.

As a side dish, I think this works. As a main dish, my family was let down. When 7, 9 and 11 yr olds don't ask for seconds of mac n cheese, something is wrong. It tasted like something was missing from it. If we decide to try it again, we may add cut up veggies and some hot sauce into it.

Excellent and easy peasy! I mixed up the cheese a bit - cheddar and parm, cut the hot dogs in half and maybe about 1/2" instead of 1", used chicken broth instead of beer and added a splash of hot sauce. It was an easy and delish meal!

Good flavor. Leave it to Rachael to think of putting beer in mac and cheese. This is easy enough for any beginning cook and a step beyond what comes out of the box. My family loved it.

I made this for the first time last night, & my 16 month old son & husband loved it. I read the other reviews & changed it up a little as others suggested. I added garlic, a little bit of cayenne pepper, & Velveeta. I also added more spicy mustard than called for & used both hot links & hot dogs. Very good. Will definitely make again.

I made this recipe for the first time yesterday. It's not bad. I did not use beer since I don't care for the taste. I used chicken broth instead. I also used Dijon mustard instead of spicy mustard. I also only used 4 hot dogs instead of 8 since a whole pack just seemed like a lot. It's not knock me down good but it's still good. As for it being unhealthy, it's full of calcium and protein. This is clearly not a dish to serve everyday but served with a healthy veggie on the side, it's an easy and nutritious meal.
