The only fault I find with this recipe is that it didn't state EXACTLY how long to put the macaroni under the broiler. I'm a learning cook and I accidentally burned the top of my macaroni (but just a little bit. It was still mighty tasty, though! I fried up the leftovers for lunch the next day. Mmm!

We LOVE this macaroni & cheese recipe. In the past, I had a difficult time making good mac and cheese, and never found a recipe that was quick to make. The cheese sauce takes very little time and you can easily have a wonderul casserole in under 25 minutes. I can make it no time for an easy addition to our dinner menu. I have given this recipe to many friends to try and they loved it too.

The nutmeg flavor really overpowered everything else. I think the cheese would have been great, but I couldn't really tell because the nutmeg masked everything.

I love Macaroni and Cheese - what an excellent comfort food! I left out the cayenne pepper and nutmeg (because I was making this for a picky eater and it tasted wonderful. Thanks for such an easy recipe!!!

I've made this recipe a couple of times! Each time seems to get better. I add a bit more milk with it and put bread crumbs on the top (as she does on the showand it was even better! I'll be making it again tonight!!!

I thought this was a great foundation recipe. I added a bit more cheese than called for, as well as milk, and topped it with panko crumbs. As a portion of my cheese I used smoked cheddar and it was fabulous--tasted and smelled great.
