it tastes just right, with just a little touch of spice. my little one who hates the taste of meat, asked for more at the end of his meal....

I tried this recipe yesterday with ground turkey, and WOW. I wish I had tried it sooner! This was really easy to put together, and very tasty: plus with the ground turkey and over whole wheat pasta I felt like I was still eating healthy! I like the different taste the allspice puts in the background--you gotta try it in the sauce. The crushed tomatoes I had on hand already had basil in it, but I'm sure just the plain would have been great too! This will definitely be a "go to" out of the pantry.

I have made this several times and it is always a hit. We had unexpected guests and I was able to put this together with a salad, bread and wine and in 30 minutes we had a great meal. Thanks Rachael

This is my go to sauce for my husband when he craves pasta. I add a tablespoon of grill seasoning for a little more flavor.

This is my second attempt at a Rachael Ray recipe. The flavor was very good -- a little different than a typical marinara sauce. I made it with ground turkey and served over spaghetti. I love that all her recipes are so easy and generally make large portions! Yay for 30-minute meals.

Suggested seasonings made for a bland rendition of this recipe. I had to "kick it up a notch" to improve upon it's taste. For a better meat sauce for your pasta with similar ingredients, dial in Christmas Pasta and search Food TV's site for it. That is also a Rachael Ray recipe. Christmas Pasta will knock your socks off and demonstrate that it's a much better sauce than this one plus you don't have to wait for Christmas to try it!
