Easy and absolutely delish!! I formed my patties in the mold of a plastic egg poacher and popped them out to fry. Perfect size and uniform. Thanks Rachael!

So easy to make and worth it. I love to put syrup on my sausage and it wasn't even necessary with this recipe. I don't think I will ever buy premade sausage again.

I have been using this recipe for years now, and I even give it out to friends who don't know about it. You buy fresh ground pork, and with the extra ingredients, you know you are getting a lean, healthy patty with no preservatives, and it tastes so great!!! The fennel seed and, especially the maple syrup, are the keys. Lots of uses, too. Thanks Rachael.

What do you get the guy who has everything? The perfect gift-breakfast in bed! I don't cook normally but I attempted this recipe for my husband for his birthday! It was the perfect present! It took a little longer than 30 minutes but it's probably because I don't know my way around the kitchen! Thanx Rachel!

I added a teaspoon of ground sage to this recipe and it made it all the more better. Thanks Rachel for a wonderful recipe.

I never thought I would be able to make my own sausage for breakfast. It is so good! I will never go back to the jimmy dean sausage in the nasty plastic tube. Thanks rachael! This is foolproof.

This was very easy to make - but next time I'd probably use sage instead of the fennel - but very good!

Goodness gracious! This patties were delicious! Plus,to put the fennel in with all the seasonongs was absolutely genius and since then I have made this hundreds of times. These patties are better theb the ones my mother in law makes and I even got her to admit it!

This was awesome! I made it for a mild loving family, so i cut WAY back on the fennel. I also used ground turkey for a healthy alternative. They were truly delicious. Be sure to Make all the patties first, then cook them. This helps to stop cross contamination.
