    "The best sausage I've ever had," is what my husband said after eating this sausage. I made the patties the night before, as another user suggested, which made prep in the morning so simple. The flavor was perfect...both sweet and savory, without being overbearing in either department. I will DEFINITELY make this one again.

    I will never buy Jimmy Dean again! Its so easy to make your own. I was surprised how easy it was. It makes you feel better to know you are skippng out on all the preservatives, etc.

    WOW!! Was this recipe a huge hit at my large family's breakfast table we have 5 children! What a simple & absolutely delicious recipe! My hubby isn't a huge fennel fan and doesn't always care for the supermarket-made sausage. This recipe includes just enough fennel so as not to overpower the flavor of the pork. I used the leftovers the next night in a batch of homemade stuffing. Yum! Thanks, Rachael!

    Who knew you could MAKE good sausage at home? Not me! This wasn't only good, it was fantastic. My family has told me I can make these again, whenever I want.

    I made the sausage the night before and refrigerated them overnight for easy prep the next morning. My 20 guests just loved them. It's so easy and delicious.
