The marinade for the tacos is fabulous. I agree with the last poster that the honey in the tomatillo salsa probably wasn't necessary, or maybe only half of what was called for. The rice pilaf was a pleasurable surprise-very refreshing and paired perfectly with the tacos. Definitley will be making these again!!

The tomatillo sauce/salsa is wonderful minus the honey. I used a little Splenda instead. Also, we used corn tortillas instead of flour. They are much more flavorful and warm easily in the microwave. I cheated a little bit with the fish. I only had cooked blackened talapia that was frozen, and it was still great! As previously mentioned, we snacked on the tomatillo salsa for a couple of days with corn chips.

Easy to make. Kids loved it.
Wish the rice recipe had been linked to it.

Does anyone know what I can use instead of the tequila?

For the person looking for the rice recipe. I think it is called Pice de Gallo Pilaf.

This was delicious and easy. The flavors were spot on. This may become the standard recipe for fish tacos in my house.

As a side note, Rachael says in the episode that this recipe yields a lot of the tomatillo sauce and that's no lie. I think next time I will reduce the ingredients for the tomatillo sauce by half. Very tasty but way too much if you're not planning to eat the leftovers as a dip.

I loved this recipe because I'm an Old Bay seasoning fan!
I did not have the tomatillos so I used zucchini which added a sweeter flavor to the salsa. It was delicious! I will make this again!

I normally do not eat fish tacos, but this looked so good when Rachel was cooking it on TV that I had to try it. This recipe is so good that I have passed it on to numerous other friends and family. It is a keeper for our dinner repertoire.
