I used this marinade on chicken and it was delicious! I will use on steak next.

The mashed potatoes are good but it's the marinade that deserves 5 stars. I use it on any type of steak and even chicken. I love it.

Great! I used spinach instead of leeks. This meal is a big hit with my family! Thanks Rachel!

I did not care for this The steak was still tuff, even after I marinated it for 24 hours. I did not like the leeks in the potatoes. I did like the creaminess the chicken stock created in the potatoes.

I have used this marinade for both flank steak and London broil, using the cumin option. It is fantastic! When using London broil, I let it marinate in a zippered plastic bag in the frig for 24 hours. Great in the summer with fresh corn and a salad made with all local produce. Simple to prepare, easy to clean up and delicious. What else could one want?

This was a hit at our house! Steak came out juicy & delicious. The star was the BLT Smashed potatoes...OMG! The flavors that the bacon, leeks, and tomato incorporate, it is the ONLY way I make my mashed potatoes now! Great recipe and I love a savory dinner that I can make quickly. I know what we're having for dinner tonight :-p Yummo, Rachael!

This was really really good, the marinade had a really nice kick to it. The smashed ;potatoes, were very good, but have to admit I tweaked them, I prefer more creamy mash potatoes so I added a couple of tablespoons of light sour cream.

absolutely delicious! that marinade is going to be a staple in our house - i threw in some chipotle chile powder, cumin, and chile powder - and marinate at least a few hours for best results. ask you butcher about cooking times, though. we cooked our 2.15-lb flank steak on high grill heat for 4 min each side and it was a perfect medium-rare. The potatoes were great - I left out the tomatoes but threw in a few pats of butter as I mashed.

Excellent flavor on the steak! a bit rare on the thicker end so after I sliced it up I put it back into the pan I cooked it, I am so glad I did it too because it got all the brown bits and juices all over the individual pieces and just intensified the flavors.
