The marinade for the meat was FANTASTIC! However, the meat was as tough as an old shoe even though I only cooked it for 4 minutes on each side, and cut it across the grain at a sharp angle. Also, the meat was done on the ends in that short time, but was still quite red and somewhat bloody in the center even after resting for 5 minutes. I will try a different cut of meat with this marinade in the future. The smashed potatoes (minus the tomato was excellent too!

Wow- what an easy yet impressive meal for date night. My husband and I tried the flank steak recipe with some hesitation. We were half expecting it to be dry and chewy. Were we wrong! The steak was perfect. We grilled it for a total of 13 minutes- our flank was about a pound and a half. Terrific! The superbowl is coming to our city in a week. This will be our party entree!!!

These potatoes were fantastic. Fresh tomatoes straight from the garden helped. I've recommended them to lots of friends.

I love Rachael...all of her recipes are great. I had to make this one the day it aired because it looked so good! It tasted even better than it looked! The BLT Potatoes were a tad rich to make often...they were delicious while eating but leftovers didn't sound tempting. The steak melted in my mouth!

Couldn't believe I could cook steak w/o it being tough. I've made this 2x. First time was for company and they loved it! I forgot to check with them as to whether they were garlic fans or not and fortunately they were! The whole meal works great together. I cook all veggies in the oven w/ EVOO and garlic now--yum.

It was absolutely delicious. This steak is tasty and tender. It is important to cut it the right way in very thin slices. My husband loved it and asked me to cook it again.
