If you're looking for something easy that has a lot of flavor, this is the dish. Thank you Rachel for your delicious ideas. I tried this dish this weekend and it was so wonderful. Unfortunately, i didn't have a plantain, so i did the Oh Baby! Garlic and tomato shimp over angel hair pasta; OHHHHH BABY WAS IT GOOD! Thanks again for your international inspiration.

I have made this dish twice. It is so good. I made it for my brother and he was practically drooling. He said if he didn't know any better, I could have told him it came from a restaurant and he would have believed me! This is a great recipe.

My husband and I loved this dish. Make sure you serve the plantains warm, they taste better.....ENJOY!

This meal was fanatstic. This was the first cuban meal I had ever prepared. I agree with everyone else though..prepare yourself for an hour and a half at least, and some intense acrobatics in the kitchen. Worth it though!! My dinner guests were amazed at the results. Will do this one again, but I will definitely do some prep work before-hand.

I think excactly what "are you kidding" (8/12/05 said. Rachael is very motivated, but please LESS caffeine! When I saw this on TV I made my husband watch it with me (I'm Puertorrican and we do the same. I was so proud that Rachael did this in her show, people can now start tasting different foods! The plantain is very underestimated! I learned that new teq. putting it in microwave. GREAT!!!
