Great recipe but no need to use that much butter. I always use much less and it still tastes delicious from the flavors of the banana and orange

Thied this recipe for Thanksgiving in place of the same, old, tired sweet potato casserole. It was requested again for Christmas dinner! Receipe easily doubled.

I followed the recipe to the letter, but the mashed sweet potatoes tasted like mashed orange potatoes. Unfortunately, they were not a hit at Thanksgiving.

I did not use the chicken stock and thought the cream would give it a much better consistency (and it did and the flavor was amazing. The orange zest really added something to the end result.

This is a really good dish for people that do not like sweet potatoes. If you love them like me, however, this masks the flaver way too much.

I love sweet potatoes so I tried this receipe. I like the idea of it but felt the banana taste was too strong. Will try 1/2 banana next time. However, my mother loved it so my taste may just be different.

First time, prepared according to the recipe but, second time, used 3/4 of the banana & heavy whipping cream instead of stock... more suited to my taste buds! Both times, used yams as they have more flavour. Do like the addition of banana!

i was disappointed in this one. i used exactly what was called for (1 banana & 3 lbs. potato, but it was way too banana tasting. i thought it tasted like mashed bananas instead of mashed sweet potatoes.

After reading the reviews I was anxious to try this recipe. However, I found that the flavor of the orange was much to strong for my liking. I really juiced my orange well so maybe that was the problem. I would prefer a measurment given on the amount of juice to add because the juice from an orange can vary depending on the ripeness and how well it is squeezed.

this was very simple to put together. The only thing I would do differently next time is to cut back on the banana. It was much stronger tasting by the next day.
