I made this tonight for my family.... I took me longer than 30 minutes to make everything, but I think it was because I had to keep reading the directions. It was pretty tasty... the gravy I think would have been better without the mustard, and maybe a little more spice or something in the meatloaf patties... but you won't be disappointed and I will make it again... p.s. I made the baby carrots last night with the sugar and I added honey too.... they were the best!!! This is my new favorite show!!

This is a brilliant change to the classic meatloaf and pototoes.

My husband and I are recent retirees and have begun cooking together after 20+ years of mainly eating out. This meal was delicious and easy. However, next time we would: pre-organize and familarize ourselves with the recipes, pre-measure the ingredients, and make the patties in advance. The cooking went quite fast and we were hard-pressed to keep up with everything. I like to clean-up as we go, so I got involved in that and inadvertently let the carrots, that were supposedly carmelizing, burn. Rachael makes it look so easy and carefree that we overestimated our abilities.

I don't like meatloaf, but I loved this recipe. Even better with a little mushroom in the meat mix!
