This is very good and one of my husband's favorite meals. I didnd't have to make any substitutions. Perfect just as is.

I made this recipe with half buffalo and half beef. It was so good. What a fancy meal with everyday ingredients from my kitchen. This recipe was the one that motivated me to join foodnetwork! Thanks for a meatloaf that wasn't blah, the pan gravy tasted a little odd by itself, but on the meatloaf and smashed potatoes it was awesome. And yes the kids loved it.

I was starving. I had a pound of ground beef and an onion with no idea what to make. This recipe was easy and delicious. I only used a pound of ground beef, substituted worcestershire sauce for the steak sauce and used old bay for the seasoning. The sauce was especially good. I cook on cast iron, so I had to reduce the heat to medium for the first side, a bit lower for the second side. My picky husband said this was the best sauce I ever made.

I made this for the first time tonight after looking for a quick recipe for dinner. I forgot the tomato paste but it was still great. My family loved it.

I have been making this recipe since I first saw it on TV. My family absolutely loves it. I've since made it for my parents and it is now an often requested meal from my dad! The gravy is our favorite! As Rachel would say, "It's YUMMO!"
