I prepared the recipe as directed, although I did add an 8oz can of tomato sauce as the mixture seemed a bit dry with just the paste as some have noted, and I used 1lb instead of 1.5lbs of ground sirloin. The recipe makes way more topping than is needed for a single pizza (ours was 16". The flavors were excellent, but it wasn't easy to eat as a pizza because there was just too much meat. I will likely make this recipe again, but as mega meatball sloppy joes.

I first made this for my husband not long after we were married. He absolutely loved it. I added some peppers and probably more garlic that the recipe called for, but to this day we still have meatball pizza every now and then and it takes us back to our newly wed days =o

i've always made frozen pizza and this was my first attempt at making one myself. it turned out to be so easy and so delicious. i had some for leftovers the next day and it was amazing how all the flavors settled together and was better in round two. i'm going to make this again and again!

Made it once as the pizza, and it was so awesome I pulled a "rachel" and took it one step further and created a sauce to go over pasta instead of pizza.

Skip the bread, prepare the meat in the same way (but also add mushrooms/bell pepper if you like and at the very end put in two (small cans of tomato sauce...

Pair with what ever pasta you like, and top with mozz and parm =

I loved the pizza, but making it a pasta dish made it even better!

This pizza had great flavor and truly tasted like a meatball. I did make some changes simply because I wanted to bump the nutrition a little. I added sliced baby portabella mushrooms and chopped red bell pepper. I also ended up adding some tomato sauce like another reviewed suggested. The meat seemed a little dry with just the tomato paste and I was afraid it would dry out in the overn. I also added some dried basil with the organo and used a Italian blend in place of the mazzaella. Maybe I should call this a stromboli pizza, since I do admit I changed it a lot from a traditional meatball. But it was delicious!! Thanks Rachael!

The fresh mozzarella cheese really makes all the difference. One variation I did though, was to make it on foccacia bread instead of regular pizza dough. It was so good, I cannot wait to make it again.
