    Awesome!!!

I love fried ice cream and this is SO close to the real thing. Thanks for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch tip. Super easy, it took... me maybe one minute to make this. Now I can have "fried" ice cream at home. Super yummy, I will definitely make this again soon.Read more

A worthy substitute for busy cooks

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
Some reviewers need to read the title again. It's "fried" not fried. For the unenlightened, that means a substitute. And... frankly this recipe is a godsend for those of us who love fried ice cream in restaurants but either are skiddish about the tricky business of frying something cold and not having it melt, or don't want all the fat from the regular version, or don't have the time or energy for the full version (isn't that why we watch 30 Minute Meals???) This "mock" fried ice cream is peculiarly a lot like the original in flavor. Maybe it doesn't taste as good as the authentic original version - but the tradeoff is that it's a lot faster, easier, and less fattening. Anyone who doesn't like that tradeoff is welcome to slave over the stove with the original, and jump on the treadmill when they're done eating it.Read more

Not fried ice cream at all

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
the word fried shouldn't even be in the title, not even if it's in quotation marks. There is nothing FRIED, or even cook in... any way shape or form, about this dish. It's just yet another ice cream dessert from Mrs. Ray ice cream with corn flakes, honey and cinnamon dumped on it is just thatRead more

    Get Some Guts

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I actually have not tried this recipe yet. I am tonight. Firt off, In the USA when a word is in " " in this case it is a... fake out. Rachael never claims to be a baker. 2nd, real fried ice cream takes hours. Your got this recipe off of 30 min meals. Get a clue. 3rd, I have never seen this on a menu at Cold Stone so you should have started there to begin with. If you are of mexican heritage and tried this recipe - shame on you - Again get a clue. As one review said, it came from an all white person. Ray is not of mexican decent. 4th and most importanly - Get some guts - most of you who rated it one star was "anonymous"..get some guts and get a job on food network. The next season of Be the Next Food Network Star is starting soon. See you there.Read more

    YUM!!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Wow- I was sitting here reading all of the reviews, and decided to give it a try since this is one of my favorite desserts. ... Went to the kitchen, and it took me one minute to make it. And, it's delicious! I did what one of you suggested, I sprinkled cinnamon and sugar on the ice cream first, and put some in my corn flakes. Then rolled it and put honey and some redi-whip on it. Same flavor as the real thing! I loved it. I don't have time to make the real thing, and don't want all the extra calories of frying it in oil.Read more
