I love the topping of this pizza (???I would not call it a pizza but did not like it over the cornbread crust. It was too sweet and too thick. I will use this topping but would make a layered mexican pizza (lightly fried tortillas and use a mixture of a traditional red pizza sauce and taco sauce as a base. My husband loved it initially but said it started to "bother" him after a while. It bothered me immediately!

This was great and easy to make. We absolutely loved it.
I added chopped jalapenos to the cornbread mix as well as a dollup of sour cream. I cooked the red bell pepper with the meat mixture to which I added taco seasoning to. I also doubled the meat. I topped it with shredded lettuce, cilantro, sour cream, and taco sauce. I will definately make this again.

When I make a recipe it usually takes a longer amount of time than specified on the recipe, but with this one it was on the table in under 30 min. My son made the cornbread and I chopped the veggies. We changed it up a little bit and used one box of cornbread which was plenty. We omitted the butter but used a can of creamed corn instead which we had in the pantry. Served it with taco sauce, cilantro, and sour cream. An arugula salad on the side with lemon juice and olive oil was a perfect counterpart to the richness of the pizza. Perfect weeknight dinner for the whole family!!

My family loved it. I was able to make 2 pies with the 2 boxes of corn bread mix. They ate one for dinner and the other for lunch the next day. I made it again and took the extra one to work and wow what a hit it was with my co-workers. I made it a third time for company and they were very pleased with it. I gave them the recipe to take home for family and company. My boys always ask me when am I going to make the Deep Dish Pizza again.

I made this last week since I had some extra ground beef on hand. I was soooooooooo good!! My whole family loved it. I agree that 2 boxes of cornbread is too much--using 1 made plenty for a nice thick crust. I'll definitely make this again!

I used a deep dish pizza pan to prepare this recipe. Added one can of chopped green chiles, two tablespoons of sour cream and one cup of corn to cornbread mixture. I used two boxes of Jiffy. Also incorporated one cup of chunky salsa, can of Rotel diced tomatoes with chiles, 1/8 teaspoon of red pepper flakes into the meat mixture. This added a little more zip.

I thought this was pretty good but liked the taste much better the next day. I only used one box of cornbread and my husband still thought the crust was too thick but I liked it. All the flavors together are really interesting together like the sweet cornbread, spicy meat mixture, and green olives. I used ground turkey since I don't eat red meat and added much more seasoning and pepper sauce. Next time I make it I will make most of the topping the night before and put it all together the next day. Its on my menu for this week!

This pizza was very good, but when I cooked it, my cornbread was not done all the way. It tasted too sweet, not something that would go good with the ingredients in the topping. Other than that, it was good.
