I too thought this was a pretty decent recipe. Although, I do agree with other reviewers - would've been even better to do just sliders on buns with a side salad.

This is a favorite in my house. I love this recipe just the way that it is. My kids (9, 6, 3 absolutely love it as well. One time my 6 year old asked if he could have his burger and salad separate. I got out a dinner roll and he had a slider with a salad on the side. The dressing is great on the bread of the burger.

I made this for the first time a few days ago. Having read the reviews, I decided to add some mayo to the dressing and a touch (maybe 1 tsp of honey--not enough to notice the taste of either but enough to take some of the sharpness away. It turned out great. Next time I'll completely sub mayo for the EVOO in the dressing, and I'll keep the honey too.
I made extra mini-burgers for pita sandwiches for the following day's lunch, too.

This is my go-to recipe when I'm rushed for time after work. The dressing is tangy and flavorful, and I love the way the burger tastes IN the salad. I use ground turkey to make it a bit healthier and the veggies I have in the fridge (but the pickles are a must for that true burger flavor. It's a great way to satisfy the fast food craving that often strikes. Thanks for keeping me on track to fit in my wedding dress this August, Rach!!

This salad was full of flavor and really satisfied the burger craving! For those reviewers that felt like the burger meat didn't have enough flavor...remember, that making a recipe doesn't have to be completely literal. Add what you like to spice it up! This is just a good starting point. For instance, I ALWAYS put fresh garlic and Worchestershire sauce in my burger meat. Same idea on the dressing...if you didn't like the flavor of the yellow mustard, then try Dijon! My husband and I loved the yellow mustard, though. Try adding salad peppers (pepperoncini rings to the salad if you don't like the idea of pickles. I chopped my own pickles (didn't use the slices, and it was delicious! Going forward, when we have friends over for a burger night, I will make this salad & dressing for those that want to put their burger meat in a salad. But, I will also offer traditional buns, and they can eat the salad by itself (without the meat as a side dish! MUST TRY RECIPE!

I really enjoy this salad. I sometimes use 2% provalone cheese slices for a change of pace.
First saw the recipe in RR's Get Real Meals book.
The grilling seasoning and worcestershire really makes this dish.

It's a at least a step or two healthier if you're not ready to give up cheeseburgers altogether! Big hit with my young son, too.

I have made this recipe so many times and it's great every time! I've even made full size burgers and put them on buns with this mix. I tend to leave the pimentos and chives out of the dressing though, and always make extra dressing. (I also leave the pickles out of the salad part, it just seems weird to me.

This has become a fast fave for my husband and I.......so much so that I make and freeze the patties ahead in increments for the 2 of us per meal. Had to do it this way as hubby requests this at least once a week.

You could'nt pay me too eat this again, my Dad made it a couple weeks ago and i had to stay home from school it made me so sick... The vinagrette is WAY too sour and hamburgers taste like nothing, all they did was warm up the salad.
